Hi! I’m Michele Tillery, and I’m absolutely THRILLED to start my third year as principal of St. Susanna School! I only dreamed when I was growing up attending elementary school in Noblesville that I would lead an elementary school of my own one day. My husband of 21 years and our two children – Lauren, 19, and Kevin, 14 – lived in Fishers and Carmel before moving to Brownsburg two years ago. I graduated from Marian College (now University) with a degree in Elementary Education and a reading endorsement and taught for four years at St. Philip Neri. I transferred to St. Luke shortly after my daughter’s first birthday and spent the next 10 years teaching sixth grade. I completed the Archdiocese Leadership Academy, then decided to earn a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan. After serving as SIP chair for seven years, I returned to Indiana Wesleyan to earn a Principal License and became assistant principal at St. Luke for six years, where I worked very closely with the special education department. That experience made me realize that I was ready to lead a school myself, and was blessed to be invited to lead St. Susanna School in 2014. We have a lot of exciting changes at St. Susanna this year, and I can’t wait to share them all with you!
