Janet Abdoulaye spent 19 years as an 8th grade homeroom and middle school social studies teacher at St. Malachy School in Brownsburg. While at St. Malachy, she was instrumental in starting several programs including We the People, National Junior Honor Society, and a house system to foster relationships between students in grades 6-8. Janet’s has extensive experience teaching in a Catholic school setting and integrating technology in the classroom.
Janet holds a Bachelor of Science in social studies education from Indiana University and a Master of Arts in United States History with a concentration in 20th century civil rights and constitutional history from the University of Indianapolis.
Janet lives in Indianapolis with her husband, Ismael, and her son, Adam. While Janet is currently a member of Saint Christopher Parish in Speedway, she has always considered Saint Susanna to be her home. She is excited about returning to the parish she grew up in and was confirmed in as a teenager.
