I’m Kathy Rosich, and I teach second grade at Saint Susanna. This is my eleventh year at Saint Susanna, and my 20th year of teaching. Over the years, I have taught 3rd grade, 5th grade, 8th grade language arts, middle school religion, and high school child development. I love 2nd grade because I get to help students learn to love reading and I also get to be a part of a very important year in their lives when they receive two sacraments!
I am from Canton, Illinois. In school, I played tennis and played piano, and was in the Spanish Club. I graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a resource in middle school language arts. My license is for kindergarten through 8th grade. I was recently trained in the Orton-Gillingham method for reading instruction.
My husband, John and I have three children. Nathan is a senior at Marian University, Katelyn is a sophomore at DePaul University, and Megan is a junior at Avon High School.
My hobbies include reading, walking, and listening to music, as well as movies and traveling.
I can’t wait to meet all my second graders and their families!
