Harry Guess, Technology Teacher

Greetings, St. Susanna! My name is Harry Guess, and I am overwhelmed with my faithful God who has provided me this opportunity to serve Him at Saint Susanna School. I am excited to take the role of Technology Teacher and IT support this coming school year.

My wife and I moved to Avon from California six years ago. We have four children and seven grandchildren. I have been a computer teacher, administrator, and most recently have served as a Technology Director & Computer Teacher at a Christian school.

I have completed my Associate Certificate in Computer Applications; my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts; all of the course work for a Master’s Degree in Mathematics; and was awarded a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Technology. I’ve led students in projects such as NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Apple’s Swift Coding for P-8th, Code Studio for K-8th, M.I.T.’s Scratch Coding, and GeoSketch Pad for Digital Geometry, to name just a few.

I desire is to roll out a Digital Internet Driver’s License for our students to master how to use technology safely in light of our Faith and Catholic values. I plan on teaching our students the “rules” of the Internet that give us the resources from around the world at our finger tips. Remember that children learn more from what “we do” than what “we say”.
