Technology Center

todays lab 1Technology–21 Century Learning

Saint Susanna provides students with the tools and information needed to help them become 21st Century Learners. Our school offers an array of technology resources used by our teachers and students. Our fifth through eighth grade classrooms are 1:1 with each student assigned a personal laptop or notebook. Our younger students are busy working with iPads, Chromebooks and interactive SMART Tables to explore a variety of technology and to support learning objectives within the classroom. All of our classrooms, kindergarten through 8th, are equipped with large interactive SMART Boards. Document cameras are used by teachers and students for large screen visual presentations.

Using technology, teachers can provide and support areas of instruction, as well as support the variety of individual learning styles within their classrooms. Students learn how to explore and research ideas and topics, communicate and collaborate on projects, build problem solving, critical thinking, and decision making skills, and are encouraged to explore creativity and innovative ideas.

All students, pre-school through 5th grade, attend weekly computer classes. Our Middle School classrooms have integrated technology spread throughout the curriculum.  Our computer lab is equipped with 28 touch screen all-in-one Samsung computers and Office 2013 suite. We offer campus wide WIFI connection so technology can be accessed throughout the building.
