IMG_0093K-8 Financial Aid

Many families would like to provide their children with a private school education but assume they cannot afford it. Need-based tuition assistance and scholarships may be available to help families with the cost of tuition for Kindergarten through 8th Grade.

Awards are granted to families from a variety of financial backgrounds, according to established guidelines.  Please make known any anticipated need for financial assistance at the time of registration.

Indiana Choice Scholarship (Voucher) Program

Indiana’s School Voucher program allows eligible families to redirect their child’s education funding from the state to be used as tuition at a participating private school.  Indiana’s Choice Scholarship is a state payment that qualifying families can use to off-set tuition costs at our school.  Students who have attended a public school for at least 2 semesters, along with meeting certain income requirements, may qualify for a Choice Scholarship.  Kindergarteners who received an SGO in a private school may also qualify for a Choice Scholarship for 1st grade.  There are several other pathways to determine a student’s eligibility to participate in the Choice Scholarship program.  Please read more online and address any specific questions to our Principal or Vice Principal.

Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO)

Indiana’s Tax Credit Scholarship program was created in 2009 as a way to give families, who meet income guidelines, an opportunity to send their child to a participating private school.  Through the generosity of Hoosiers (both individuals and businesses), donations are awarded as scholarships to qualifying students, thereby making attendance at the private school of their choice an option.

The Institute for Quality Education is one of five approved scholarship granting organizations (SGOs) in Indiana and administers funding for Saint Susanna School.

How do you know if you qualify for a tax credit scholarship?  Institute for Quality Education offers families a free online tool to determine if they qualify for tuition assistance. Visit www.i4qed.org/calculator/qualify to see if you qualify for a tax credit scholarship.
