The Crowning of Mary is one of my favorite masses. The children are so excited, dressed in blue to honor our Holy Mother and presenting her with fresh flowers picked from their gardens (hopefully with parent permission!) Our middle school students lead everyone in prayer, and our choir sang like angels. What a wonderful way to celebrate the mother of Jesus!
We have eight days of school left! Don’t forget to check Power School to make sure all assignments are turned in and students don’t forget final tests or projects. End this year on a positive note!
Speaking of angels, congratulations to Hannah Jones, who is the 2017 Angel Award winner. Her name will be added to the plaque in the administration hallway.
Do you have a new St. Susanna School car magnet or car sticker? They are available upon request from the receptionist. Feel free to pick one up as you drop your child off in the morning or stop in if you arrive a few minutes early for pick up. Your child may pick one up for you, too. Show your Spartan Spirit today!
The Annual St Susanna Festival is coming up June 15, 16 and 17. It’s a fun community event for the entire family, and a great opportunity to get involved in parish life. Volunteering at the Festival counts toward your annual school volunteer hours! More information HERE.
Don’t forget… the first Early Bird drawing is Monday, May 22. Anyone who has turned in sold raffle tickets is elegible to win 2 Indy 500 Penthouse tickets! More information HERE.
As the year winds down, please don’t forget to settle lunch accounts before the end of the school year. Look for emails and communications from Mrs. Castro and make sure accounts are current by June 1. Also, Extended Daycare Ministry bills were sent home earlier this week. Please be certain these are paid in full as well. Final report cards may be withheld until outstanding balances are paid. Thank you!
