Dear Parents,

We are counting down the last few days before the start of the school year!  Don’t forget our “Eat N Greet” TONIGHT!  Kick off the school year by welcoming our new families and reconnecting with old friends!  Begin with mass at 5:30pm, hosted by students.  After mass, find your new homeroom and check out the new school arrangement!  Bring a side dish to share and join us for a pitch-in dinner as Mr. Dutcher (our band and music teacher) and members of our St. Susanna Men’s Club grill hot dogs for everyone!  It’s a wonderful way to welcome everyone back to an exciting school year! View the invitation to all Back to School Events.

Spiritwear, uniform polos, and uniform sweatshirts will be available to order tonight during “Eat N Greet”. If you were not able to order last week at the uniform sale, tomorrow is your next opportunity. (Cash or check accepted for these orders)

NEW for this year: on Fridays when Spiritwear shirts may be worn, the Spartan shorts may also be worn! (until Fall Break, then again after Spring Break; same as uniform shorts).  Check them out tonight. Most of the orders placed last week are complete and ready for pick-up. Stop by to pick up your order. For those that are not complete, arrangements will be made to get it to you as quickly as possible.

I’m thrilled to announce the new PreK Aide and EDM Director, Elaine Cutshall:

“Hello Saint Susanna families!  My name is Elaine Cutshall, and I am elated to join this beautiful school family! My husband recently got promoted, and we are new to the Plainfield area. I have my Bachelor’s degree and my Master’s degree from Ball State University.   I worked in an extremely aggressive corporate management position for over ten years.  That position was eliminated, giving us the ability to move and follow God’s plan.  I am a mother of seven children, four of whom are still at home.  I grew up at Catholic and Laboratory schools and was always extremely involved in my Catholic community. I participated in Christ Renews His Parish (4 times- different cities/states), Bible Study, and taught CCD and Summer Bible School.

I have a deep love for education and Catholicism. My background is dance performance/education and excessive management. My Bachelor’s degree is in Dance and Theatre Performance and Education.  I owned and taught at my Dance Studios, with upwards of 300 students in each studio.  I deeply enjoy working with children, and I am so thankful that the opportunities of Pre-K Aide and EDM Director presented themselves to me.  I can’t wait to continue serving here at Saint Susanna School!”

Job Opportunity:  We are still looking for additional staff for our EDM.  Please pass this information on if you know of any interested person:   http://saintsusannaschool.com/st-susanna-school-job-opportunities/
