Dear Parents,

We are continuing to focus on “Putting First Things First”.  Completing work before participating in other activities means that you are prepared and in charge.  You don’t have to be rushed, and you can enjoy yourself without having your homework or other obligations hanging over your head. With homework, tutoring, music lessons, athletics, clubs, etc. our kids are busy!  Learning to prioritize and set schedules now will give them the skills they will need to be successful in high school and beyond!

Old National Bank just launched a Tools For Schools Grant Promotion where up to $21,000 will be awarded to schools within our community.  Please click on the link to vote for St. Susanna School; that’s all you do!  You can vote once per day from each email address until September 30!  http://toolsforschoolsgrant.com/thx/plainfield/saint_susanna_school

St. Susanna School will again be participating in the Quaker Day Parade this year on Saturday, September 23 at 10:00am.  Please return these permission slips by Tuesday, September 19 to Mr. Dutcher.  Every student will need to return a permission slip in order to participate.  A parent will need to sign each child in before the parade begins and sign them out once the parade ends.  Parents are encouraged to walk the parade route with the students, if you desire.

ALSO NEEDEDCandy to throw along the parade route.  The candy must be individually wrapped (ie – Laffy Taffy, Smarties, gummies, gum, etc).  Please bring in any bags of candy you wish to donate to school from now until Wednesday, September 20.  If you have any questions please contact Mr. Dutcher at rdutcher@saintsusanna.com

The Annual Jamboree and Chili Cook-Off is coming Saturday, September 30!  We ask for each family to sell AT LEAST 5 Drawdown Raffle tickets at $20 each.  The top prize in the raffle is $4,000!  Any tickets that you do not sell or purchase must be returned to the school office so they may be redistributed.  Proceeds from this event directly benefit St. Susanna School!

All tickets and money must be returned by THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22.  All families who sell all 5 tickets and turn in money by Friday will have their children entered into a drawing for ice cream with Mrs. Tillery and Mrs. Abdoulaye!
