Dear Parents,

As we kick off Catholic Schools Week, I reflect on the Open House we had 2 weeks ago.  It was well attended by prospective families, who seem excited about St. Susanna School.  It was interesting to learn that about ¾ of the people heard about St. Susanna not from signs or advertisements but from St. Susanna families!  It was appropriate, then, that St. Susanna parishioner Jim Poole spoke at masses over the weekend to share his family’s Catholic school journey.  His boys – who are now sophomores at Roncalli High School – earn 4.2 and 3.7 GPAs and play varsity golf.  In fact, over 90% of St. Susanna graduates have achieved the Honor Roll at their respective high schools! Additionally, 45 St. Susanna graduates are currently playing IHSAA sports at 9 area public and private high schools. More importantly, his boys are continuing to live the Catholic values reinforced by St. Susanna School. Clearly, St. Susanna School prepares children to meet the challenges of high school!

Thanks to everyone who helped make the Sparty Party such a fun event!  Special thanks to Toni Ellis, who organized the event.  Thanks also to the many volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly. Congratulations to the “Speedway” Crew on their big win! Everyone had a great time, regardless of the score.
