Middle School ASAP Program

A.S.A.P.

To better serve our middle school students, the middle school team will be offering a voluntary, after school study hall where middle school students can stay after school, work on assignments and/or projects, have access to school resources and computers, and teachers for assistance if needed.   This program will start on Monday, September 11th.

A.S.A.P. will be held in the middle school classrooms from 3:05 to 3:50 PM, Monday through Thursday.  The schedule of teachers is

¨ Mondays: Mrs. Abdoulaye

¨ Tuesday: Mr. Vachon (in conjunction with his current math tutoring, which lasts til 4:30)

¨ Wednesday: Mrs. Kizer

¨ Thursday: Sister Merrita or Mr. Vachon

This is open to 6th—8th graders only.  Parents should plan to pick up their children in the school entry promptly at 3:50 PM (unless the child is staying for math tutoring on Tuesday or Thursday).  Students who are not picked up at 3:50 PM will be taken directly to extended day and checked in.

Students are able to work on any homework, read silently, or work on group projects while maintaining a studious atmosphere.  If a student is not busy with an academic pursuit he or she will be sent on to extended day.

There will be no ASAP on early release days or the day before an extended break,

such as Thanksgiving.
