My name is Beverly Flanigan and I am the Resource Teacher for First grade thru 5th grade, and also a Title 1 tutoring teacher. I am happy to be starting my seventeenth year here at Saint Susanna.
I am from Carlisle Indiana and currently reside here in Plainfield. I have a twenty-two year old daughter who is also a former Saint Susanna student, and has recently graduated from Berklee College of Music.
I graduated from Vincennes University with an Associates of Science in Commercial Art and Graphic Design and continued onto Indiana State University to receive my Bachelors of Science in Fine Arts and Graphic Design. In 2019, I completed my Teaching License from Marian University in Mild Intervention for Pre-K thru twelfth grades. I am certified and trained in WIDA, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI), CPR/AED, and have attended and completed 46 hours of IMSE Orton-Gillingham Multi-Sensory Training.
I Prior to Saint Susanna, I worked as a Graphic Designer, Photographer, and Studio Manager. I have also taught art lessons off and on for years. Since being hired at Saint Susanna I have been a Kindergarten Aid and a Special Ed/Resource Assistant.
In my free time I enjoy drawing and painting, photography, traveling, and yard work. I also enjoy reading particularly anything related to history.
