Kindergarten Assistant (Carmer)

Hello!! I’m Mary Souders, I am so excited to be joining St. Susanna this Fall as a kindergarten assistant.

I love traveling, gardening, cooking and spending time with my family and friends. I have four stepchildren and I am blessed to have been in their lives since they were 5, 7 and 9. They have all graduated from Florida State University and are amazing adults. In 2020 I became a grandmother - we have two beautiful granddaughters. Life is amazing as Grandma Kiki!

For 19 years-I have worked for Orange County Public Schools, Florida. I have been a middle school science teacher, an AVID teacher and part of an autism/SLD 6th grade team teacher.During the 2020/21 school year-I worked as a middle school science teacher at Holy Spirit Catholic school on the east side of Indianapolis. I loved this community and Parrish-but I have decided to step back from teaching middle school to help with my mother and my in-laws here in the Midwest. My husband and I are so excited to be Hoosiers again!! Many people have said to us -“most people retire in Florida-they don’t come back up North!” We are so happy and blessed that we can be back up here to be with our families.
