I’m Rebecca Burdett, and I teach middle school writing and grammar at St. Susanna. I have worked in education for over 20 years and have always loved working with middle school students. I am excited to start my fourth year here at St. Susanna.
I grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated from Chestnut Hill College in 1995. I have a B.S. in early childhood and elementary education and an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction, with a specialty in GT education, from the University of Houston. As a student, I enjoyed playing in the orchestra and writing for the school newspaper; as a teacher, I’ve enjoyed working with students of all ages and writing ELA curriculum for different schools.
My husband and I moved to Avon, Indiana in 2015 with our 3 children and joined the St. Susanna parish. I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors with my family. A strong faith-based education is what I always wanted for my own children, and I am honored to be a part of yours.
