PowerSchool is the fastest-growing, most widely used student information system, supporting more than 13 million students across the globe. St. Susanna adopted PowerSchool in the summer of 2016 as our School Information System. In the Fall of 2021, St. Susanna moved to the Archdiocese PowerSchool server when the Archdiocese of Indianapolis adoped PowerSchool.
Each parent is given a unique access code and password which allows 24 hour access to your child’s account so that you can partner with us! Studies show that students perform better in school when parents are an active part of the education process. We encourage you to check the parent portal often, ask your child questions, and notify the teacher of any concerns.
Gradebook – Your child’s grades for each assignment are post in the online grade book. This would include a download option for worksheets or assignment rubrics, if you teacher has posted them. Some teachers add assignment prior to their due date so you may help your child stay on top of upcoming work. You may click on the current quarter grade which appears in blue to drill own to the assignment level. Teacher comments may be available on assignments.
Attendance – Keep a close eye on your child’s attendance and tardy record. Attendance is taken in Homeroom only and updated if your child arrives or leaves throughout the day. Good Attendance gives students the best opportunities for academic success and assists our school in following state attendance guidelines.
Email Notifications – Want to receive a automatic email every Friday with your child’s current grades? The Email Notifications page provides you with the ability to manage your parent account email preferences, including what information you would like to receive, how often you would like to receive the information, and any additional email addresses that you would like the information sent to. Email preferences may be applied to a single student or all students associated to your parent account.
Teacher Comments – The Teacher Comments page displays any comment that a teacher has entered regarding a student, such as a student’s achievement or behavior. Additional teacher comments may be found on the Grades and Attendance page and Grades History page.
School Information – The School Information page displays the physical address and contact information for the school.
Link to FACTS (COMING SOON) – Connect through a single sign-on feature between the parent portal and FACTS, our online tuition payment vendor, to check your account or authorize payments. The single sign-on feature allows you, as a parent, one username and password issued by PowerSchool that links to your FACTS Tuition Management account through a secure login.
